A Sleeping Sloth, a Statement Jacket, & a Sweet Care Package | iPhone Snaps

Hi lovely reader! I haven't shared some candid iPhone pics in a while, so I thought it was about time I change that! I love looking at these types of posts on other people's blogs because they're so casual and let's be honest, I'm also a little nosey, but hey you probably are too, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this!

The cutest little sleeping sloth at the zoo. Slothes were definitely my favorite animal for some time when I was younger, not to the Kristen Bell extent though! (Just google "Kristen Bell sloth"...)

Agreed.

Would love a picture like this in my home in the future.

I had seen commercials for these little squares and thought they looked intriguing! I went and bought the "Cranberry almond dark chocolate" flavor and it was very good! Only downfall I would say is that they are fairly high in sugar as far as it being a "healthy snack".
I have been wanting a "patched" jacket for the last two months after scrolling through all the Fashion Week street style pics filled with every themed and embellished type of jacket imaginable. So, when I saw this one I snatched it up. Look out for some OOTD's coming up featuring this jacket and most likely some adidas originals.

So Apple Pie filling, topped with crumbles, topped with caramel, topped with vanilla ice cream. No more needs to be said.....

New little cross body bag.
The sweetest care package from my church back home. Nothing like receiving an unexpected package!

Chelsea, Cupcakes, and Challis | New York Photo Diary

Hello lovely reader! As you may know, within the last few years, I have become really fanatical about traveling. Whether it's going on a one hour road trip to somewhere with a friend or flying across the country to a new city and state, I love going to new places and discovering different areas. I find it so inspiring, visiting somewhere I've never been and having a completely open mind as to what it will be like. After having this somewhat new appreciation for doing so, I one day hope to have a career in which I can travel all over the world. This being said, a few weeks ago I went to New York City for the first time. As someone who is studying to work in the fashion industry, it was an understatement to say that I was thrilled with the opportunity to go. I was there for one week and the trip was "go-go-go" but amazing. We stayed in Chelsea which was a fantastic location and I highly recommend it, especially if you have never been to New York before. It was far enough out from the Times Square area that there weren't mobs of tourists but also close enough that you could easily walk to the iconic location. It is also the flower district, so getting to wake up to streets lined with fresh flowers every morning was pretty great. My friends and I made an effort to see as many different areas as we could. I took tons of pictures so I'm going to break them up into a few posts, starting with the first couple of days.

We stopped at a cool little bakeshop "Baked by Melissa" which we later discovered can be found all over the city. These little bite size treats are delicious! I was surprised by how moist they were, the little cupcake even has a filling inside. I got a snicker doodle macaroon, a sugar cookie macaroon, and a rainbow crunch cupcake. Perfect for to fulfill your sweet tooth while walking around!!

Swatch! If you watch Project Runway, you will understand that this was a moment

SoHo
SoHo Park

The first day we stopped at a hole in the wall pizza/gyro place which actually was pretty good and then headed over to check out Times Sqaure. It is very busy and full of tourists so I would suggest doing this towards the beginning if you don't want to have to deal with all the people again. The next day we went to SoHo and shopped around. I really liked the area with the cobble stone streets and cool old architectural buildings. We had dinner at SoHo Park and it was perfect! After walking all day you definitely build up an appetite. The setting is also really cute with an outdoor feel indoors and a nice beer garden patio area. Later that night my friend and I went to Rockefeller Center to do "Top of the Rock". This is something that I highly suggest doing. They take you 850 feet up and the view is stunning, it was particularly beautiful at night but I think it would be equally as amazing to do during the day!

Have you been to any of these NYC spots? Xx

Sunsets & Sand | Photo Diary

Hello lovely reader! School has begun and I’m kinda sad about it, I can’t believe that August is quickly coming to an end! September is shaping up to be a busy month as well, so I’m sure that is will pass equally, if not faster, than the prior months. Anyway, to go along with the fact that I wish it was still summer, I thought I would share a photo diary with you from an “end of summer” trip that I took to Florida. It was so relaxing and the weather was gorgeous, also perfect to spend time with my family before heading off to school. We had some of the clearest and calmest water that I have seen in a long time and some gorgeous sunsets. The seafood was delicious and we even tried a new restaurant that ended up being one of my favorites (Boshamps). So put your toes in the sand and come along to the beach with me!

Where do you love to go to relax? Xx
