ban.do fun-o-rama | Blogmas 2015

Hi lovely reader! Happy Blogmas Day 4! I hope you are enjoying these first few days of December. This weekend I am bound and determined to get all my Christmas shopping in order (because right now, I have lists on lists, and it's not ok). I don't know about you but when it comes to giving others gifts, I have to be super organized. I like to make a list of ideas, then do research, then add links to the list and prices of everything, and finally see where I can purchase said items. I love giving gifts and although sometimes it can be hard to come up with creative and new ideas, I find that it is totally worth it in the end to see the recipients reaction and appreciation for the amount of thought you put into things. In the spirit of giving to others as well as yourself, I thought I would share a giveaway that one of my recent discoveries and favorite new brands, ban.do is doing.

I first stumbled upon this amazing "little" brand while trying to find a planner for school that was different than the typical "college girl" agenda, and I instantly fell in love. Their stuff is all so flipping cute and fun, and so is their website! So check it out!

Starting today, December 4, through December 11, they are giving away huge hauls of gifts from various brands including themselves. All you have to do is visit this website to see what the giveaway for the day is and follow the simple steps to enter!

Do you love ban.do? Xx

Alessia Cara | Recent Discovery

Hiya lovely reader! Happy Friday and Happy October!! I don't know about you but I am ready to bust out some skinny jeans, cozy sweaters, and ankle boots. The past two days have been a nice taste of what is to come and I getting excited. So, my most recent discovery happened just yesterday, and she has quickly become my current fav. She is a singer by the name of Alessia Cara, she's 19, and her single "Here" is one that you may have heard on the radio recently.

Now, I had heard the song a few times and liked the sound but never really had a chance to listen to the lyrics. Fast forward to yesterday when I get a text from my best friend saying "Hey have you heard the song Here? I can totally relate to it and I think you would too." So of course then I have to look it up and she was right. This song is so spot on for me. I saw some people on Tumblr call it an "Anthem for Introverts"and as a member of that "club" I couldn't agree more.

After loving that song I listened to the rest of her EP "Four Pink Walls" and her sound is killer! She reminds me of a mix of Amy Winehouse with a mix of some modern day singers like Tori Kelley and Ed Sheeran. She also has some awesome covers out on YouTube, the one below being a personal favorite.

So I highly encourage you to check out her music, and follow her on Twitter and Instagram! (her instagram is on point) Are you an Alessia fan? Have you made any recent discoveries? Xx

Samantha Harvey | Recent Discovery

Hi lovely reader! Now, I haven't done a "Recent Discovery" in forever but I'm thinking of trying to make it a more regular occurrence as long as I'm discovering (I know I said that before, but for real now). My recent discovery as of late is an amazing singer whom I found on Vine but also has a YouTube channel where she has posted some beautiful covers of songs in full. (all her links are below)

Her name is Samantha Harvey and she is from England. I don't know loads about her other then she is extremely talented, has gorgeous hair, and make-up always looks done to perfection. Her videos are simple, usually on a bathroom floor or in a room, but I think that's good because you can see how truly naturally talented she is!

I will leave the video below of one of my favorite covers but you should definitely check her out on Vine or YouTube (and subscribe)! She is one to look out for!

Recent Discovery: Shannon Saunders

Hey there lovely reader! I'm writing this to you on the last day of June and I'm kinda sad that we're already a month into summer. But my sadness has quickly gone and now turned into excitement for my latest "Recent Discovery" post. I have decided that I am going to do one of these each month, with the hope that you like it and it will encourage me to broaden my horizons to anything really.
So today's find is a singer songwriter named Shannon Saunders, whom I first saw in this video. I was absolutely in love with her voice and she seemed like a pretty cool person in general. So I went over to her YouTube channel and found that my discovery was just in time because she was going to start doing vlogs each week to show what she was up to and share snips and clips of her music for her upcoming album.

Her first vlog was uploaded this past Sunday and she seems like such a cool girl. I'd be her friend in a heartbeat! Her style is sooo on point and the vibe of that combined with her music in the background is perfect. This seems like a very exciting time for her and I'm so glad I "found her"! I can't wait to follow her journey into what I know will be an amazing career. So check her out! I'll leave links to her Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube channel below!

Hope you liked this post and be sure to follow and subscribe to her! Xx

Recent Discovery: Gabrielle Aplin

Hello lovely reader, I hope you are doing well. As you may know from previous posts, if I find something that I really like, I share it with you all. So, let the sharing begin. I'm not sure where the heck I have been for the last few months because I have been missing out, two words, Gabrielle Aplin. Her music if amazing. I have been listening to her album English Rain and I am obsessed with it. Her music is so light and airy but her songs are packed with feeling. Not to mention the fact that her lyrics videos are pretty cute (I have left the one for home below). My personal favorites (besides the entire album) are panic cord, home, and november. So if you already are fan, I'm with you, if you're not, please go check out her album! Have a nice day! Xx
